Our Nonprofit Practice, with 20 years of experience, specializes in connecting international organizations and foundations with Armenian partners, and helping Armenia-based organizations raise awareness and build relationships in Armenia and across the world.
Raffi Kassarjian
Founder and Principal Advisor, Technology Practice
Raffi is a seasoned executive with 30 years’ experience in the technology space who has built his career around defining and launching new products and businesses. He is most comfortable at the intersection of understanding market demand, evaluating competitive actions, and defining and delivering products. He believes that an intimate and iterative relationship between customer/market-facing and development teams is essential to delivering winning products and building businesses. He is also tenacious in working with both product managers and developers to find solutions to address technology, timeline or other obstacles.
Relevant Experience
Raffi was part of the founding team and then CEO of iCON Communications, a pioneer in wireless data internet access in Armenia. He was also CEO of Monitis/TeamViewer Armenia, and as SVP, TeamViewer IoT (and member of TeamViewer SA’s’ Senior Leadership Team), he conceptualized and launched TeamViewer IOT, the company’s first integrated monitoring and remote control product, as well as the company’s initial foray beyond traditional PC and mobile devices. Raffi also launched the first mobile payment platform in Armenia with Converse Bank. Raffi also led the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), the leading business association representing tech companies in Armenia. Prior to his time in Armenia, Raffi designed and launched Fair Isaac Corporation’s (NYSE:FICO) first internet product, LiquidCredit, and was responsible for over $200MM of the company’s revenue. He also led strategic consulting engagements for global Fortune 500 companies with Accenture’s Strategic Services Group. He holds Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Business Administration degrees from Stanford University.
Lucineh Kassarjian
Principal Advisor, Non-Profit Practice
Lucineh Kassarjian has been involved with and advising non-profit organizations in Armenia and the Diaspora for more than 20 years. Her activities span across providing support to organizations involved in education, environment, art, women’s empowerment, tourism, regional and rural development, and social-entrepreneurial efforts. She manages the US activities of the Armath Educational Labs Foundation, helping raise awareness and fundraise to support STEM education through interactive after-school classes, exciting competitions, innovative camps and more, especially in the rural and border areas of Armenia. Lucineh has served as the Executive Director of FestivAr, coordinating and promoting the sustainable development of annual festivals in cosmopolitan and rural areas of Armenia. In 2018, Lucineh played a key role in the organization, fundraising and execution of Creating Home: Smithsonian Folklife Festival MyArmenia program in Washington, DC. Prior to that she was the Country Director of Armenia Tree Project, a US-based charitable foundation, which has planted millions of trees all around the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh, and provides environmental education to thousands of students annually. Lucineh is one of the co-founders of RepatArmenia, informing, initiating, and actively championing the return of individuals and families to Armenia. She is also the co-founder of ReAnimania, an international animation film festival in Yerevan, and has served as the Artistic Director for the initial four years. Earlier Lucineh founded MolorakArts, a company specializing in multilingual educational multimedia products for children of all ages. Lucineh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and Pedagogy from Yerevan State University of Languages and Social Sciences after V. Brusov, and completed coursework in Computer Arts and Digital Media at the Academy of Art University, San Francisco.
